The López family has faced countless challenges. Laura, a single mother of three daughters, endured severe childhood trauma and post-traumatic stress, both of which contributed to ongoing mental health struggles. We first began working with the family when Gaby, the eldest daughter, was referred to Project RED while living with relatives.
The journey has been slow and steady, with challenges along the way. But today, Laura is completely self-sufficient, in a healthy physical and emotional state, and providing loving and stable care for her three beautiful daughters.
None of this would have been possible without the support of the López family’s sponsors. Because of them, we have walked alongside Laura, Gaby, Emily, and Lucy for the past four years. In 2024, they graduated from our program, and we know that their future is full of hope and opportunity.

Staying Connected
As a sponsor, you will receive a letter from your sponsored family each year with updates on their progress. You may also hear from them through other communication channels.
We encourage you to write a letter or send a video to your sponsored family each year—these are deeply treasured! You can email videos to info@project-red.org.
Letters and small gifts (non-perishable, no liquids, no electronics) can be mailed to Project RED at the address listed at the bottom of this page. Please keep packages within shoebox size and under 15 pounds.
Sponsorship Structure
Families typically have more than one sponsor, as supporting a family costs Project RED an average of $350 per month ($4,200 per year).
Sponsorship donations start at $25 per month ($300 per year) and range up to $350 per month ($4,200 per year).
100% of Family Sponsorship donations go directly to meeting the needs of the families.
Reassignments
As families progress through different phases of intervention, your sponsorship may be reassigned to a new family when needed. Rest assured, your entire donation is directly supporting a family in need.
