Our team carefully assesses the physical and emotional needs of each family we serve.
These needs are then shared with our supporters, allowing them to contribute directly.
Once a need is met, our team notifies the family and facilitates the process to ensure they receive the support they need.
The Rivera FamilyA Story of Strength and Hope
Cecilia lives with her children in a remote village, at the top of a steep hill. Her eldest child has been diagnosed with severe autism, her teenage daughter is now raising a toddler son after enduring a tragic abuse, and she has another young son. The family has struggled to make ends meet but has remained actively engaged in our Family Strengthening program.
Until recently, they were living in unimaginable conditions. When it rained, their home offered no protection, leaving them drenched and vulnerable. They had no functioning bathroom and no safe place to seek shelter. Despite their commitment to progress and their active participation in Project RED, their extreme poverty made it impossible for them to improve their living conditions on their own.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of some very special Project RED supporters in the United States, we were able to build them a home of their own—one that is dignified, safe, and provides reliable shelter.
